Christian Toomey, age 36, of Bethel, was arrested by Westport Police on Monday, March 1, after the protected person came to police headquarters to report the violation, said Lieutenant David Wolf.
According to Wolf, the protected person told Westport officers that Toomey came to their Westport residence and was in her home and refused to leave.
Officers responded to the home and found Toomey inside. He was placed under arrest and charged with violation of a protective order, Wolf said.
Toomey was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
He was first arrested for violating the protective order in November 2020, after coming to the complainant's home and leaving a gift outside, Wolf said.
